Conceptual leap?
Taken with the links below and a psychotherapist questioning my use of the word terror within my poetry, my hypothesis is that this is a kind of reverse PTSD in that the capacity for visualisation shut down in response to a situation during which I was awake, but held still thanks to curare. Also, stretching this a bit (?) that as awake, aware what was happening and that the process would cease has lent itself to a tendency to precognition.
